Improbable Landscapes is an ongoing artistic research project that explores landscape as a space where Nature, Human, and Machine intersect. Combining photography, painting, biological material, sound, light, and computational processes, the project investigates how landscapes are experienced, represented, and transformed. Using computational randomization, real images and elements from specific territories are recombined into improbable landscapes, compositions that remain connected to real places while disrupting their expected relationships. These images are further transformed through manual intervention and combined with biological specimens, sound, and light. Moving beyond landscape as a visual object, Improbable Landscapes creates physical and sensory encounters with places undergoing ecological and technological transformation.
